Aaah the eternal sock dilemma! Love the different varieties – do you suffer from the ‘odd’ sock syndrome in your household too? Maybe Arnie is responsible
Do you have a sock basket where all the odd socks go? How do we get so many odd socks in the first place? Where are their pairs? It’s one of the mysteries of life …
But it has a plus side … the sock basket is where the cats like to sleep!
I think you live in our house. The adult sock box looked like that on Saturday!.. I’m sure we have worm holes into each others’ houses – and my odd socks are in your house. I’ve even tried buying doubles of every sort of sock I buy – so that when we have missing socks, there are at least 2 others for them to pair up with … but then they have different life experiences and never quite feel the same!…. sigh. My rule is NEVER buy plain black socks! I spend SO long trying to work out rib length/ material/stretchiness quotient to try and match them up. Striped or coloured heels: at least then there’s no agonising!!
Black socks should be banned, they are the reason for many a hormonal meltdown on.my behalf!
I can depend now on getting at least one laugh – sometimes a wry one! – every day. Thank you.
You are most welcome, you’ll be glad to know that the mountain of socks is still waiting to be conquered….
I am impressed in your drawings everyone always appears to have matching socks on.
I had to chuckle when I read this. I have to admit there are some days when we do wear whatever gets pulled out of the drawer. Although that is an entirely separate post in its self!
my cat always steals the small socks my grandson wears. it’s hard to find his socks sometimes. can’t figure out where she hides the socks.
Gave me a good laugh–Laughter is one of my Daily Twelve Emotional Fitness Exericses. Pinned and tweeted. http://doodlemum.com/2012/11/25/sock-it-to-em/# Thank you. Are you on Pinterest?
I once sadly worked out that if the four of us each wore clean socks every day for a week I have to wash 56 socks a week -aaargh too much information
Aha! But have you factored into this equation a visit from the sock monster?
I know what Arnie’s thinking……
