Millie loves her bedroom in the attic, it’s got the best view. The jackdaws are nesting in the chimney again so it does get a bit squawky this time of year.
Oh and when it rains, she says it’s deafening.

I know, why is that then? They seem to be one floor, although the space and light they provide is wonderful. It can get very dark in a terrace in winter!

My flat is also in the attic (well, the attic USED to be the attic, of course) ;), and though it BECOMES deafening during heavy rain I love sleeping to the sound of raindrops on the windows …. 🙂

I agree, it’s a wonderful noise. I do get a bit nervy when there’s a storm but as the house is over 140 years old I guess I should relax a little!
