This time last year.
…I wasn’t drawing at all. We all went on holiday and I packed one of the numerous, small sketchbooks that Myles had desperately bought in attempt to get me drawing again. I sat outside late one evening and stared at the page, what on earth would I draw? I drew what I knew best, my family.
Here’s to lots more drawing. And here’s to all those artists who have become sidelined, side tracked, ignored, undermined, ripped off or for those who will never be huge or famous or published.
Just keep drawing.

I haven’t picked up a sketchbook in ages.
The blank page is simply too terrifying for me….
I look at your posts, and long for the confidence I once had. If I only knew where to start.
Thanks for picking up the sketchbook a year ago – look at all we’d be missing out on if you hadn’t.

Wow, that’s fab. It’s great to be featured and I’m very flattered. I keep drawing even when my ratings are low, it doesn’t matter to me because I am loving the process so much! Welcome to my blog by the way.

Well… a whole year has gone by eh… and look at you now… I am so glad Myles is so encouraging… that’s just so lovely… you are very special and so very talented and loving… your mum, I am sure, is so very proud of you my love.

Beautiful sentiments… and I couldn’t have put it better myself… yes… keep creating… always… it’s the most positive thing we can ever contribute… to ourselves, to our children, and to the world…
I have no doubt that in years to come… your own children will treasure these notebooks with great love and pride… xxx

That’s it in a nutshell and what I was missing so terribly, it’s part of me to draw, it always has been, its great to see my lot already leaving their marks on the house in various mediums! Myles is very much creative like me and we would be miserable if we were’nt making something. It’s lovely that you’re stopping by and I love to read your comments. There’s a big creative gene in our family π Keep it up !

He knows me so well, he deserves a medal for putting up with me over the years. I believe Gruff is seeing how the floor looks from an upside down angle ;P

Well done on documenting this small universe that is your family. It all goes by so quickly and those day to day things are lost as the kids seem to change by the second. I look at your blog every day and regularly having a laugh at a similar event happening to my family. Years from now you will pull out those sketchbooks and the memories will come flooding back. Of course the tradition of recounting embarassing events for each child at their 21st birthday party will be far easier for you now!
