Spiralling.
We have an awful lot of castles in South Wales, (thank you Normans).
Unfortunately, once at the top of a windy tower, you still have to go back down again.

As a Norman by adoption, I have to tell you that there are a lot of castles here, too, and I have given up going to the top!

Oh, poor kid! Those uneven ancient slippery steps are scary enough to come down when you have adult-length legs. Not to mention the way they come to a point on the inside of the spiral….

Hmmm…depends really on a few factors, but normally they range from a minute to half an hour.
