My son has been in that phase for the past few months…I “solved” the problem by teaching him to use glue so all the bits of paper are then methodically stuck onto a larger piece – caught two birds with one stone: no more bits of paper flying everywhere and he’s occupied for lengths of time as he glues away happily…ofcourse the process can be messy!

Ah yes, I remember this one well! We stuck all our white bits to old cd’s and hung them in the trees in the garden to twinkle.

My daughter is also obsessed with paper, but she’s way too young to use scissors. She’s 6 months and just tries to eat every bit of paper she can. Fruit, vegetables, even cookies, she doesn’t really care about that. But show her a piece of paper and she’ll do everything she can to grab hold of it 🙂 We try to keep every piece of paper away from her, but her older brother is undermining all our efforts – so now and then we find tiny pieces of paper in her diaper…
