Thank you.

Hello, my name is Angie Stevens. I live in a terraced house in Swansea with my husband, three children, a dog, and a cat. We have eight chickens in the garden too. A few years ago I decided to start a blog in an attempt to get myself drawing again and to pull myself back from post-natal depression.

I know, I know loads of you have heard it all before, (yawn ,yawn) but I happened to notice that my number of followers is now over ten thousand tonight.

In the time I have been drawing and writing this blog I have accrued over two thousand drawings. There’s now a lot of sketchbooks filling my house, a lot of memories and happy times now remembered and not forgotten.

Thank you for stopping by, it’s always appreciated.
hello

  1. Angie, I have never met you, never been to Swansea. (I am in the NYC metro are.). Regardless, your drawings, begun to save your own sanity, have been a gift to me. I look forward to seeing them every day, especially the ones with Arnie. (Uh, I have a cat . . .)
So, thank you. Thank you for slow doing me to participate in your life, your family’s life, and your talent. If I had a glass of wine in my hand instead of a phone, I’d toast to ten thousand more. Laura

  9. Well, I live in cold, sharp Albertan (Canada) foothills that look straight onto snow covered mountains – and I am one of your ten thousand followers! How brilliant, you must be so pleased – ?! I love how a few apparently simple lines can capture a situation, an attitude – and I forward and share, often.

  22. When I saw the heading….”Thank you”, I thought “Oh no, she’s stopping her blog!” I am so glad and grateful that you’re not. ( You’re NOT are you?!) I had terrible PND many years ago, I am so glad you not only drew your way out of it, but in the process shared your experiences of family life with us, giving/ restoring joy and hope to many thousands. You have drawn us all into your family ( forgive the pun), and made our lives richer. I am so fond of you all, and think of you every day. Well, you keep sending me blog posts, so I have to! Well done, dear Angie. x

  23. Angie my dear. I have never had PND never having had children. But part of my job was recognising & then helping mums through this truly horrible time in their lives. You found a way ,through your drawings,to hold onto something special & share that with your followers. Yours is one of my first emails of the day & I sooo look forward to it. Something good has come from something bad. You are fortunate indeed. May you continue to share xx

I don’t manage it everyday but it has given me a lot of memories of people I have travelled with. It’s been fun. I hope you continue to go from strength to strength. It’s been inspiring.
