You’re supposed to leave them up until Twelfth Night! ๐ฆ

There is a method in my madness, the tree will still remain up till then but they are due back in school on Monday and it’s quite awful seeing all the decorations still up when they walk out the door when it’s still dark. ๐ฆ

We always had/have our tree lights lit on the morning of the 5th, until the house is empty. Last one out switches them off for the last time. First one home (usually me) takes the tree down. We don’t make a big fuss about Christmas – never have – but the house still seems very empty when everything is packed away.

You’re very brave, Gruff looks pretty disgruntled to me! I’m long term ill, and can’t bear bright light, so have a pretty pot of honesty seed heads with xmas decorations ( no tinsel) and fairy lights in my bedroom, all year round…. I would be more than disgruntled if anyone dismantled it!

Aw I don’t think you should take them down either Wendy. For what it’s worth, I have left one non “Christmassy” set up. ๐

Hooray! Mine aren’t very Christmassy either- unless you count parrots, home made button rings and flower garlands – they probably would be, in Honolulu!
