It’s so frustrating to be on the other side of the ocean and not entitled to vote in either Britain or America. I’m disenfranchised everywhere. My hope is for as large a turnout as cane out for the Scottish referendum. At least that makes it more democratic.

I’ve voted….by post, as I have done ever since the 1997 election, when, despite me checking with my council first, the disabled access was locked, and I couldn’t get in with my wheelchair! It caused such a palaver, but I was determined I would do my bit to get rid of the Tories, and eventually managed it. I still miss the frisson of excitement at actually going into the little booth, though.

I was disappointed to see the curtains missing from our little booths this year. Another Tory cut? Or are people no longer ashamed of voting for the Tory who consistently gets our seat.
I’m glad you battled your way through in ’97. Wasn’t that next morning great?!

Still too young to, by a year, but we held a school Mock Election. Wouldn’t it be nice if turnout Nationally was like in our school? (80-90%!)

Nobody worth voting for in the constituency where I live, and I mean NOBODY. I don’t mind – I am content to be a dissenter and an activist. For now!
