I am so sorry for your loss.
Your illustrations of Bonnie were a constant thread through lockdown for me.

Thank you so much for the wonderful reminders of all the lovely drawings of Bonnie! Over the years I’ve fallen in love with her as I recognise our own dogs in every pose and situation. A lump in the throat again. My heart goes out to you all…in another situation that we all recognise 💔

We loved you too, Bonnie. Feel free to introduce yourself to our dog, Honey. I know she will adore you. And say hello to Breeze and Whisper from over the road (they are dingos, but I know they will love you).

It started out as a memorium for author Elizabeth Bear’s cat Maeve ( http://grundlepodmark2.blogspot.com/ ), then morphed into a memorium to dogs Chuck and Spud, but it applies to all the the four footed folk, those bright-eyed pawsons of the feline and canine ilk who have hitched themselves to our stars, and it’s no less true of dear Bonnie. Wow, your dog has quite the life, getting into trouble with your kids. LOLz. I really like how you focussed on the dog and people with minimal backgrounds.

Just said goodbye to my beloved cat of nearly 17 years — the one who saw my kids to adulthood, and me and my husband through middle age. You have honored your Bonnie beautifully with these frank, funny, and tender drawings, and touched the hearts of those of us who are missing our fur angels. Thank you for sharing your gift.
